Matthew 6:7, “And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition…” NASB
I spent the last 2 days updating and printing my prayer list. I have 3 columns: 1) Date, 2) Request, and 3) Date answered. At the top of each page is the subject, e.g. Healing, Grieving, Soldiers, and several verses with their key phrases next to them. I pray the Word of God over them. It is not meaningless!
How do I know?
Because of the battles. I have never had a migraine attack and a pancreatitis attack on the same day! It made me more determined to finish. Reviewing the answered prayers encourages me to continue!
“Prayer has always been central to Biblical faith…was…deeply embedded in American life. In fact, colonial, state, and federal governments issued over 1,400 official calls to prayer between 1620 and 1815.” “The Founder’s Bible”
