A Vineyard

Isaiah 5:1, “I will sing for my beloved my love song concerning his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill.” ESV

“The imagery used in this song to describe Israel as God’s vineyard was used by Jesus in his ‘parable of the tenants” (Matthew 21:33-41).” ESV Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible Notes

Jesus studied the Old Testament. Luke 4:17 tells us he was given the scroll of Isaiah, he unrolled it, and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…”

Sometimes it is discouraging to read Isaiah, but if Jesus studied it, how can we do any less.
